📍 Four Corners Sand Mine | Clermont, Florida
🗓 Opening: Wednesday, November 19, 2025 | 10:00 a.m.
Cemex is preparing to open its Four Corners Sand Facility—a modern operation designed to support Central Florida’s housing and infrastructure needs with locally sourced materials. By providing high-quality sand and aggregates used in concrete, asphalt, and construction, the facility will help local builders keep pace with demand for affordable homes, schools, hospitals, and roads.
The operation is expected to produce approximately 1.2 million tons of commercial sand each year, supplying the essential building blocks for projects across Lake County and the surrounding region. Sourcing materials locally helps control costs, supports local jobs, and reduces the need for long-distance hauling.
“This facility represents more than a source of construction materials,” said Jeff Bobolts, Cemex Vice President of U.S. Aggregates. “It’s part of our commitment to building communities where families can live, work, and thrive—with homes they can afford and infrastructure they can count on.”
Lake County Commissioner Sean Parks added, “The Four Corners facility supports the infrastructure we rely on every day, from roads and schools to hospitals and housing. It reflects a strong partnership between business and community—one that strengthens our workforce and enhances quality of life for families across the region.”
The Four Corners facility operates as a dry sand site, using an advanced plate and filter press system to recycle water back into production. This process reduces water use, improves efficiency, and reflects Cemex’s commitment to responsible operations and environmental stewardship.
Cemex looks forward to beginning operations later this month and continuing its partnership with Lake County to deliver the materials—and opportunities—that help communities thrive.
