At Cemex, hundreds of us proudly call Lake County home. We have operated here for decades and our employees are an important part of the community. The Schofield Road modernization project adds to our local legacy. Beginning in September 2021, the $13 million project transformed the section of Schofield Road between U.S. 27 and the Orange County line and provided improved, paved access for commuters traveling to and from State Road 429 and the Greater Orlando area. The infrastructure modernization project was undertaken with careful consideration for local businesses, the environment and wildlife. Locally-sourced aggregate was used in construction, delivering lower costs and supporting more job opportunities in our area.
