Our Responsibility - Investing in the Schofield Road Project

Cemex and Lake County have partnered to modernize Schofield Road from U.S. Highway 27 to the Orange County line.

At Cemex, hundreds of us proudly call Lake County home. We have operated here for decades and our employees are an important part of the community. The Schofield Road modernization project is the latest addition to our local legacy. Beginning in September 2021, the $13 million project will break ground and transform the section of Schofield Road between U.S. 27 and the Orange County line and provide improved, paved access for commuters traveling to and from State Road 429 and the Greater Orlando area. The modernization project will be undertaken with careful consideration for local businesses, the environment and wildlife. Locally-sourced aggregate will be used in construction, delivering lower costs and supporting more job opportunities in our area.
